Hilton Anaheim Review

On my latest journey to Anaheim I had the opportunity to stay at the Hilton Anaheim. This property is one of the most prominent in the area due to its location near both Disneyland and the Anaheim convention center. This hotel is conveniently located between both the downtown entrance and the Disneyland main gate. It is also located near the Toy Story parking lot which offers transportation to the security main gate.

Check in at the hotel went great and it was very easy. There were plenty of elevators and we never once had to wait for more than a few moments. There was on-site parking if you have a car. There was both valet and self-parking which was helpful. If you have an electric vehicle there was EV parking which I had the opportunity to use. Be certain to check in before you access the EV parking as you must go in through valet and it can be confusing if they park the car.

The room was a double queen with a Disney view. Not only was it a great view of the Disneyland resort but I could also see Knott’s berry farm and downtown LA. We were able to see directly down main street straight to the castle. The view was clear and beautiful - It really was my favorite part of the hotel!

In addition to the beautiful view the room was very large and provided a nice sitting area that was great for luggage and prepping before we headed out to spend the day at Disneyland. The one room was more than enough space for lots of luggage. We had a lot of fun exploring Anaheim while making the Hilton Anaheim our homebase.

The hotel also had some great amenities such as a full bar. There were also several convenient restaurants located in the lobby including a Starbucks. Starbucks was the one restaurant that we did use on our way out to Disneyland. One thing to take note of is if you are a Hilton honors member you can use the fast lane! This will make your coffee run much more convenient and help you get in and out quicker. For your convenience there is also a grab and go option where you can get your coffee and a light breakfast, or you can choose to use the famous buffet! I did not visit it this trip, however, I have stayed there in previous years and had the pleasure of dining at the Buffet it was very delicious.

Some additional amenities included the pool deck which had a children’s water playground and a lap pool as well as two hot tubs! I love it when there is more than one hot tub at a hotel. I always find it awkward when you’re sitting face-to-face with some strangers so having the option of a less crowded area is always a bonus! We started out one of our mornings in the hot tub which helped us unwind and relax before heading back out to the Disneyland resort area. While I was at the pool deck I noticed there was a laundromat that would be great when traveling with children. You would be able to bring less luggage by being able to clean your clothes but you could even head home with clean laundry. These amenities make for a great family vacation.

Although this property is a bit dated, the amenities and the location really shine and make it a great homebase. I would choose to stay here again based upon the guest services and the value that the property offers for a stay in Anaheim.

Disclaimer: I was provided a complimentary stay in order to review the hotel, however the thoughts are all my own.
